Meet Ally Russell:

Originally from the foothills of Northern California, Ally fell in love with Salida while hiking the Continental Divide Trail. A few years prior, she discovered her passion for bodywork with a simple yet profound head hold at a Thai massage workshop, and the Thai approach influences all her offerings.

Ally is a licensed massage therapist in Colorado and a Registered Thai Therapist with Thai Alliance. She welcomes each session as an opportunity to create a customized therapeutic massage based on the unique needs of each client.

Ally graduated from Portland’s East West College of the Healing Arts and is a lifelong student of bodywork, with training in Thai, Myofascial, Swedish, Deep Tissue, and the basics of Sports Massage and TuiNa.

She aims to create a calm, peaceful space for the body to unwind and has particular interest in holding space for those navigating grief, utilizing massage for mental health support, or interested in connecting more deeply with their menstrual cycles. All bodies are welcome; LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Her other passions include sharing the lessons of fertility and menstrual cycle awareness, practicing yin and restorative yoga, attempting to grow a garden in Salida, creating colorful plant-based meals, and hiking to catch the alpenglow with her 13-year-old cattle dog rescue.

Ally will be offering her body work on Sundays!

“I am new to the valley and am grateful for the opportunity to create a nurturing, safe space for folks to spend time in the present moment in their bodies. Through my bodywork practice and thru-hiking adventures, I have developed a deep reverence for our bodies and a belief that healing is our default mode.  My style of massage aims to gently clear obstacles that prevent us from feeling like our lightest and brightest selves. I am passionate about empowering people to experience peace and grounding in their bodies, and would feel honored to work with you.”
